fine art: painting & sculpture
Radiant Bodies was my second solo art show, held in 2018. Following the success of my previous series Gaymer Gallery—where I reimagined video game characters as nude male figures (which, for your sake, I won’t include here)—I was honored to have the first-ever sold-out show at that bar. The following month, Radiant Bodies debuted, featuring 30 tasteful nude paintings of local Portland friends, celebrating form, light, and individuality.
This is a few select pieces from a series of oil paintings I created alongside a good friend. We took turns at the easel, each painting for 15 minutes at a time, adding our own touches before switching. Fueled by creativity (and a few drinks), we painted every night with the goal of completing 30 pieces for our first art show.
Here’s a selection of sculptures I’ve created, each crafted entirely by hand. Most were sculpted using Super Sculpey clay, while the last piece was made with air-drying red clay. If painted, they were finished with acrylic paint, adding depth and character to each piece.
